Designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, at home or in voluntary and community activities, to provide basic life support and manage anaphylaxis when dealing with an emergency. Successful candidates will be able to recognise the signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis, and will be equipped with the vital skills needed to administer safe, prompt and effective treatment.

First Aid +F (RQF)

Designed to accompany a regulated First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work qualification, this nationally recognised qualification has been specifically developed to meet the recommendations of the Forestry Commission First Aid at Work Policy. Ideal for those who work in a forestry, agricultural or remote environment such as tree surgeons or farmers.

Would you know how to react in the event of a terrorist attack ? This qualification has been developed to help members of the public learn life-saving skills for use in these extreme situations. Based on the citizenAID phone App and pocket guide, this regulated qualification is designed to teach people how to react safely, prioritise the injured and give first aid to victims in the event of a deliberate multiple casualty incident.
3 hour course Certificate valid for 3 years (Ofqual Regulated)

What’s Covered?
– Determining the appropriate actions to take in the following events, using the citizenAID App or pocket guide:
+ Knife attacker or active shooter
+ Suspected bomb
+ Exploded bomb
– Reporting the incident to the emergency services
– Prioritising multiple casualties
– Providing sufficient information when the emergency services arrive
– Dealing with an unresponsive casualty who is breathing
+ Opening the airways
+ Checking breathing
+ Recovery position
– Controlling severe bleeding:
+ Applying manufactured and improvised tourniquets
+ Using improvised and manufactured dressings to pack wounds

The QA Level 2 Award in Activity First Aid (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for those who have a responsibility to provide first aid in outdoor and activity based environments.
Successful candidates will gain the knowledge and skills needed to treat a range of conditions that could occur during any form of activity, from life threatening illnesses to minor injuries.
